American Board of Veterinary Practitioners Residency

The DODMWDVS was designated as an approved facility for American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (ABVP) external link (opens in new browser window) residencies. Army Veterinary Corps officers are selected by a board to attend the two-year residency which, upon successful completion, allows residents to sit for the ABVP certification examination. Residents also must complete a Masters program in public health/preventive medicine at an approved college/university either prior to or after their DODMWDVS residency.
