Externships |

|
Externship at the DODMWDVS is only available to third and fourth year veterinary students in the Health Professions Scholarship Program that have completed the Officer Basic Leadership Course and one additional Active Duty for Training (ADT) at a District or Regional Veterinary Command. HPSP students that do not meet all of these requirements cannot request an ADT at the Holland MWD Hospital. To arrange an ADT you must first, check with the duty site of your choice to get approval for the ADT during the time period requested. Second, students must contact the Veterinary Corps (VC) HPSP Academic Coordinator via e-mail and submit the VC HPSP ADT Request Form. You must also request the ADT via the Medical Education website (MODS) http://www.mods.army.mil/MedicalEducation/ . Final approval will be granted through MODS. OBLC and In-School ADT requests do not require this coordination process. You may request OBLC or an In-School ADT directly via the Medical Education website. Additional information on ADT duty sites can be located on the Veterinary Opportunities Website at: http://vetopportunities.amedd.army.mil/hpsp/hpsp_dutysites.cfm or by contacting the VC HPSP Academic Coordinator:
